The Bible Talks (TBT) is the Young Adult and College Ministry of Old North Church and Youngstown State University.
I was commissioned to make a series of designs that went beyond putting the TBT logo on a t-shirt.
Several designs connected by message and imagery
Unique and identifiable to the group
Acted as a tool for club members to share their faith
Could be applied to shirts, hats, stickers, etc.
Design Research
The Bible Talks is more than just a prayer group or Bible study. It’s a community of people who proclaim Jesus Christ from the Bible. Their slogan is “Where God Speaks through Open Bibles.” They champion unity in diversity and believe each member has value, marked by lives that reflect the Gospel message they preach. Their merch designs had to proclaim the same message and be as unique as the people in the community.
I interviewed members, and they overwhelmingly wanted merchandise specific to TBT that also acted as tools for Evangelism, or the sharing of their faith. They wanted these messages on hats, stickers, crewnecks, hoodies, and tote bags.
