Fall Bible Conference Booklet
Fall Bible Conference is an annual gathering held by Old North Church for their college ministry, The Bible Talks at Youngstown State University.
Each year, their booklet details schedules, note pages, and workshop information. The ministry needed a fresh look for their booklet that would be both informational and engaging for 18-to-29-year-olds.
I was commissioned to redesign the booklet for the 2025 Conference.
Branding Guide
Fall Bible Conference (FBC) has a brand kit of three colors and four typefaces that I was required to follow.
The Old Booklet
The 2024 Booklet lacked type size and alignment consistency, allotted for minimal note-taking room, had two different script fonts used interchangeably (both with low legibility), and didn’t incorporate the branding’s leaf icon.
My goal was to improve upon all of these issues by:
Incorporating more branding elements;
Creating consistent visuals throughout the booklet;
Visually connecting pages that appear next to one another;
Using the color scheme to differentiate booklet sections.
Process Work
I made patterns from the leaf icon, played with color schemes for each section, and rearranged text to ideate the final.

Front and Back Cover
Informational Pages
Each Section has a distinct color (e.g., Intro Pages are dark green, Sermon Pages are a sandy brown, Workshop Pages are light blue, etc.).
Body Copy reads at 8.5 pt. font.
Heading reads at 20 pt. font.
Page Titles for Serif read at 62 pt. font and Subheadings read at 40.5 pt. font.
The main color for this year’s booklet was green, so I used it for the background color of the front and back cover, introductory pages, informational pages, and closing pages.
The leaf icon in the FBC Logo is used to make patterns and add visual cohesion throughout the booklet.
