Creature Mark: African Elephant
Assignment
PART I: Design an animal icon of my choice using the five inherent forces of the square with point, line, shape, and geometric forces.
PART II: Visually interpret an original phrase incorporating the animal icon and following Fibonacci Proportions.
OBJECTIVE: Communicate unique physical and behavioral characteristics by using fundamentals of design and geometry. Explore abstraction within form and shape to express the creature.

Original Phrase: "Thick strong skin hides a playful heart within."
Final Interpretive Phrase Composition
The large black components of the design call attention to the strong presence that an elephant has.
I used a Split Compliment Color Harmony of blue-green, which produced a vibrant yellow-orange and red-violet. I adjusted each hue to have the same value and saturation levels to use in my color iteration.
